We’re already well into the swing of things, with new work and new faces here at the LAB!

It’s always exciting when the team grows and it’s hard to believe that in these past three years, we’ve evolved from a small three-person agency to having just under forty players on the team. What’s even more exciting is that most of this new blood hails from Durban, just proving that the 031 is brimming with talent and possibility.

Recently, we’ve welcomed eight newbies to the agency.

Cindy Liu joins us as a Senior Account Manager from TNNG. Prior to that she was at Primedia managing the PR and digital side for Gateway. She will lead a handful of accounts and is known to be on-the-ball when it comes to her management.

Vega graduate, Jade Brimiah started out as an intern here at the LAB but graduated to become one of our Community Managers on our Social Media Team. We’re looking forward to her energy and fresh ideas!

Another new face to the Social Media Team is Silindile Nkosi. This Community Manager is an all-rounder in the advertising world with experience in everything from Sales to Copywriting. She’s even a self-published author!

We also welcome Kevindren Govender who joins the Development team as a Developer, focusing on back-end and .NET applications and solutions. Kevindren has five years experience working for a range of different clients and we just know he’s going to be doing big things here.

Our new Social Media Manager is Jenna Kelly, who worked at two agencies before going corporate with Mr Price Apparel. She’s very plugged into social media with her own extensive following on Instagram and lifestyle blog. Jenna will be in charge of making sure we’re at the top of our social game!

Joining our SEO division is Nelisiwe Zuma, a talented Public Relations and Management graduate who has had previous experience at Yellodot Events, KZN Capital 104FM and most recently, the Department of Health. Neli takes on the role of Social Media and Blogger Outreach.

Keziah Searle graduated last year from Design School Southern Africa and joins as a Junior Graphic Designer after a brief internship with us in December. We’re expecting good things from this up-and-coming design talent!

Finally, Faye Dakers is our chattiest addition. A Public Relations graduate who joins us from Momentum, Faye will be fulfilling the role of Junior Account Executive.

We did however, say a goodbye to Miles Jacoby who left the nest to start on his own new adventure. All the best Miles!

There’s lots more to come this year so keep your eyes on the blog for the latest updates, trending news and everything awesome in the world of advertising!
